Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Tugadot Pty Ltd (ABN 12 688 604 364) ("we", "us"), the company behind PillWise, and apply when you use the PillWise app. By using PillWise you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
PillWise is not medical advice
PillWise helps you organise and remember your medicines. It isn’t a medical device and doesn’t give medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always follow the instructions of your doctor, pharmacist and the medicine’s label. Don’t start, stop or change a medicine because of something in the app without talking to a health professional.
In an emergency, call 000 (or your local emergency number).
Reminders and alerts
Reminders, alarms, refill reminders and caregiver alerts depend on your phone, its settings (such as notifications, Focus and battery saving), the operating system and, for caregiver alerts, an internet connection. They can be late or fail to arrive. Don’t rely on PillWise as your only way to remember critical medicines.
Caregiver alerts aren’t an emergency or monitoring service. An alert means a dose wasn’t marked as taken in the app, not that it wasn’t actually taken, and an alert not arriving doesn’t mean a dose was taken.
AI features
Scanning, medicine information, interaction checks, voice input and insights use artificial intelligence and can be wrong or incomplete. Always check results against the medicine’s packaging and with your pharmacist or doctor. A missing interaction warning doesn’t mean a combination is safe.
Your responsibilities
- Enter your medicines, doses and schedules accurately, and keep them up to date.
- Only add other people (such as family members) when you’re allowed to manage their information, and only follow someone as a caregiver with their agreement.
- Keep your phone secure. Anyone who can unlock it can see your information in PillWise.
- Don’t misuse the app or its servers: no attempts to access other people’s data, disrupt the service or reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows.
Your information
How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You own the information you enter.
Paid features
PillWise Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks extra features (such as family profiles, additional caregivers, reports and insights). Medication reminders and safety checks remain free.
- Subscriptions are bought through the App Store and charged to your Apple ID, under Apple’s terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings.
- If a free trial is offered and you don’t cancel before it ends, the subscription starts and you’re charged.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies and the Australian Consumer Law.
- People who used PillWise before Premium launched keep Premium features at no charge.
Licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use PillWise on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and the App Store’s Usage Rules. PillWise, its design and content belong to us or our licensors.
Changes and availability
We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering the app or parts of it (such as caregiver sharing). We’ll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes. We may update these terms, and continuing to use PillWise after an update means you accept the new terms.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded.
Otherwise, PillWise is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including missed or incorrect doses, reminders or alerts that don’t arrive, or reliance on AI results. Where our liability can’t be excluded but can be limited, it’s limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Apple
These terms are between you and Tugadot Pty Ltd, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for PillWise or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Ending these terms
You can stop using PillWise at any time by deleting the app (and, if you used caregiver sharing, deleting your caregiver data first in Settings → Caregivers). We may suspend access to our online features if you breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of Queensland.
